Sunday: Welcome to C’est la Vie!
Paris to the C’est la Vie moored in Villeneuve-sur-Yonne
Your party will be met in Paris at 3pm by our driver and driven to the C’est la Vie which is moored in the town of Villeneuve-sur-Yonne.
After the traditional champagne welcome and introduction of crew, there’s time to explore a bit in Villeneuve the town of Lesley Caron– before the first of many gourmet dinners.
Monday: Sightseeing in Sens and market
Cruise to Joigny
After an unhurried buffet breakfast, which includes just-baked village pastries,
You will be driven to Sens which is dominated by the Cathedral of St. Etienne which was the first Cathedral built in the Gothic style (circa 1140). Thomas a Becket spent time here in exile from England and the Cathedral is justly famous for its stained glass windows.
An afternoon cruise on the river Yonne brings us to the picturesque town of Joigny, built on the slope of the Cote St. Jacques on the verge of the Orthe forest.
Enjoy dinner on shore at the Michelin 3* restaurant La Côte Saint Jacques.
Tuesday: Sightseeing at the Abbey of Pontigny
Cruise to St Florentin
Dinner at la Côte Saint Jacques
Today is the beginning of our cruise into the Burgundy canal and we will take a short drive to the 12th century Cistercian Abbey of Pontigny – a memorable example of the beauty and simplicity of monastic life. Then it’s back to the present to join the C’est la Vie for lunch and cruise to St Florentin.

Wednesday: Sightseeing in Auxerre
Cruise to Flogny-la-Chapelle.
This morning, relax on board as we float to the village of Flogny la Chapelle, Today’s excursion is to the town of Auxerre. On the banks of the river Yonne this historic town, first settled by the Romans it still boasts buildings dating back to medieval times is the ideal place to stroll along its narrow streets and window shop or sit and relax with a coffee in one of its many cafés reflecting on Napoleon, Joan of Arc or Charles V11 who all passed through this elegant town.

Thursday: Sightseeing Chablis
Cruise to Tanlay.
Cruise the Burgundy Canal, now lined by poplar trees, a perfect morning to put on your walking shoes and explore the towpath! The cruise will take us through the old town of Tonnerre with buildings from many eras-including a Roman bath, arriving in the town of Tanlay by early afternoon, we’ll take a short drive to the town of Chablis for a visit of a wine cellar followed by a wine tasting.
Return on board for another great dinner.
Friday: Sightseeing Chateau of Ancy le Franc
Cruise to Lézinnes.
Morning cruise to the village of Lézinnes and visit to the gorgeous Renaissance chateau of Ancy le Franc. Renowned for its 16th-century wall paintings and frescos (which are said to rival Fountainebleau), Ancy-le-Franc has been extensively and sensitively renovated.
Return to C’est la Vie for the Captain’s Dinner, which ends your cruise in style.
Saturday: A Sad Farewell
After breakfast, you’ll be chauffeured back to Paris for the end of the morning.
